The Alhambra citadel and palace is the most renowned building of the Islamic legacy in Spain and the primary reason for visiting. All comments here are second hand - i was filling a glass tumbler with phlegm in a hotel room while the others took the 3 hour tour. all agreed that is was byooodiful and ama-sssing; I'll take their word for it. With more than two million visitors descending on the Alhambra the city's tourism industry has a routine of shuttling visitors in and out of the city in about 24 hours. That was us! Apparently there are efforts to diversify the city's allure with foody and arty attractions - including talking up the ever-present graffiti as "alternative street art". The ugly scrawls are vandalism FFS!. Here's an alternative - 3 months in chokey per tag rather than glorifying that hideous shite as "art"; anyone who thinks otherwise can invite me round with a couple of spray cans and I'll art-up their house walls.
