Segovia

Now THAT is an aquaduct

Those Romans - turn your back and the buggers would build an amphitheatre and/or an aquaduct. If pebblecrete had've been around 2,000 years ago then the Italians' mastery of masonry would not've reached such heights - we have that to be thankful for because structures like the Aquaduct at Sergovia are mightily impressive feats of engineering even 2 millenia later.

It's a reasonably pleasant stroll along the squeezy when crowded retail of the Calle Juan Bravo to the Plaza Mayor, a nice sunny square above the adjoining Jewish Quarter, lined with trees and overlooked by yet another bloody cathedral - the Catedral de Segovia. What's that? Spain's Catholic? Who knew?
